Getting there

Air

Amsterdam is host to one of the largest airports in Europe at Schipol Airport. The terminal is connected via a train to the main stations within the city. Taxis are also available (cost to Amsterdam Centraal station is ~50 euros). Also, several bus lines converge at the airport as well.

Train

Amsterdam Centraal Station is also an international hub with direct routes from the UK via Eurostar, Paris and Germany. You can visit the ns.nl for more details and ticket availability.

Getting around

The best way to get around the city is by using the extensive public transport network GBV, which includes metro, buses and trams as well as trains to the 7 train stations within Amsterdam.

You can also use the vast network of bicycle paths to get around the city. You can join the greatest Dutch pastime by renting bicycles with the trains stations or at several bike shops around town such as Yellow bike or MacBike.
